Just some thoughts:
A GREAT ONE LINER
Some comedians were know for their great one liners. Henny Youngman and Rodney Dangerfield two especially good at such that immediately come to mind.
I remember one night my wife and I were sitting in the audience, in fact front row, of the Johnny Carson’s Tonight Show in Los Angles. Which by the way –only my opinion–nothing, nothing of current late night shows even come close to the quality of what Carson did for so many years. Anyway Dangerfield was the guest that night. When Carson would cut away for commercials for the next three or four minutes without pause he and Dangerfield would throw one liners at one another. It was classic comedy.
You know this past week a friend of mine, one I seldom see, closed his note to me with a one liner that I thought was pretty special.
“For what it’s worth, every night I pray that God increases
His benefits to you–and by extension to your family.”
Thank you Mike.
You know not all one liners have to be funny. Or said by a comedian.
