Just some thoughts:
LOCATIONS OF INFORMATION
I had just finished playing 18 holes of golf in this little community. It was now noon, time to eat and I knew of this “meat and three” on the square in this small town where I had played. Drove the square pulled in to my parking place and did the old 1950s’ angle parking. As I walked about a block to the place of fine dining I past “It.” As I walked a bit on I smiled.
Later after finishing eating ,the special on the black board was meat loaf, three vegetables, biscuit or corn bread and drink–$6, which I had. Also served with you being referenced as “Honey.” (and ice tea refilled–no charge) I walked back to my car I again passed another “It.”
The two “It’s” were two of the most important places at least at one time in small town America. You could learn more there than spending a week in the local library about the happenings and history in and of the people in that community. Take my word for it.
“Did you hear about”……………
Now where what you heard was true or not, that was another matter.
