Just some thoughts:
“My all-time favorite man, next to my husband.
The best, nicest person I ever worked with–so kind and endearing.”
“What did he give me? He gave me comfort. Security.”
Hitchock didn’t talk to actors he didn’t say much to me or Jimmy. I got nervous and it was Jimmy that talked to me. ‘You go ahead and give your performance. You’re doing fine.’
He was a deeply rooted man, and not in Hollywood. I always think of him like wearing a pair of morning slippers that you’d had all our life, with that comfortable feeling that made you feel like you wanted to come to work everyday, wanted to be with him. How could he have been such a gentle person and have lived in Hollywood all his life?”
Hank & Jimmy–Scott Eyman
Thus said actress Kim Novak of Jimmy Stewart.
Wonder how folks might describe what it is like or how it was to have worked with us?
“Like a pair of old slippers.”
