Just some thoughts:
As I walked this neighborhood I kept seeing these gold plagues.
Every few houses or occasionally in front of a place of business there would be one. Got my curiosity. I found myself stopping and reading. Then noticing more and more how many there were. This was a house or place of business where a Jew once lived or owned that their life was taken in a concentration camp. The plague marked that memory.
As I was walking in an area of Prague I found numerous such plagues. Later I would find that these plagues were put there a few years back to remember many of the Jewish men and women who were killed in Nazi concentration camps during WW II. It will give their name, date of birth and date of death. These plagues were placed in front of that persons house or place of business to remember them.
It is said that over 80,000 Jews from Czechoslovakia were killed in the concentrations camps. If you should ever walk by a house or place of business and see one, the person that lived there lost their life in a most cruel manor.
And to think we have some folks who want to tell the world this never happened.
